ACSO K-9’s put in some work last night.

K-9 Lex and his handler responded to a traffic stop along Hwy 85 in District 7 to assist another Deputy. Lex was allowed to do a sniff on the car and alerted on what turned out to be 140 grams of methamphetamine. Great nose, Lex!

A short time later after a pursuit in District 1, the driver of the vehicle fled on foot. K-9 Oakley responded with his handler and picked up the search. K-9 Oakley was able to track the suspect to a backyard in the area where the suspect gave up without further incident. Nice work, Oakley!

As if hundreds of volunteer hours, selfless service to the community in times of crisis and disaster, and ongoing safety education weren’t enough. The RAMPART Search and Rescue team, which has provided search and rescue services for more than 19 years, for Adams, Lincoln and Morgan counties here in Colorado, came together to give a gift to a Local Middle School. We are blessed to have these men and women as a part of the Adams County Sheriff’s Office.
