On Friday just after 7:30 a.m. crews were dispatched to a structure fire at the Arthur Grain Mill at Main and Denver. Crews battled the fire with two aerials and multiple ground and engine deck guns. There are no reported injuries. The historic grain building will be a total loss. Crews will remain on scene throughout the day to work on hotspots and begin the fire investigation.

This week the North Area Technical Rescue Team (NATRT) is training on confined space rescue scenarios at the North Metro Fire Training Center. The NATRT is comprised of several north area departments including Brighton Fire, and the team responds to specialized rescues north of Denver. The NATRT regularly trains for rope rescue, confined space rescue, trench rescue and collapse rescue.

On Saturday, March 2nd Brighton Fire is giving away several items at our FREE Community Garage Sale located at our old maintenance building (345 S. Main St.) from 8 a.m. – noon. Items include shelves, benches, tables, office chairs, a desk, book cases, shop items and an assortment of household repair supplies, as well as several miscellaneous items. We cannot hold anything for you ahead of time and items will be given away on a first come, first served basis.
