Good job to ranger Scott from St. Vrain and our very own ranger Brian!

Rangers from St. Vrain and Barr Lake State Parks were the first on scene for a bad snowmobile accident at Porphyry Peaks near Grand Lake yesterday. The driver accidentally drove over the edge of a cliff and fell 150 feet down the cliff face. Rangers arrived within 1 minute of the accident and were able to treat the victim immediately. Crews from Grand Lake Fire and Grand County Search and Rescue arrived later and helped haul the victim up the cliff with ropes and a litter. Our ranger hailed a helicopter from NoCo Med Evac and the victim was safely transported back to Denver. The victim broke her pelvis, but is alive and in stable condition.
